It's possible, I suppose. But I'm not aware of any other relatives finding the farm name of Samuel Jorgensen's wife (Glomme), let alone the witnesses named Glomstad in the above microfilms. But then, I was unaware of a lot of work that preceded mine until I was well into the project. A Tretten connection was often mentioned, even (erroneously) in the case of Ole Larson/Lars Paulson. When I think back on the Norway trip of Vernon, Audrey, and Reatha (1979, I think), it seems to me they were thinking of Tretten as connected with Ole and Lars. Perhaps Cousin Linda can shed some light on this.

Uffda. My brain doesn't accept complexities quite as fast as it used to but the gears are starting to mesh a little to hopefully absorb all this information. You added this section to the blog quite awhile back but this is the first time I've made a concentrated effort to sift through it.

The name Glomstad appears again! Could Uncle Vernon and Aunt Audrey possibly have known about a Glomstad connection when they made their inn reservations for Tretten area??? What a coincidence. Not only did they (and Reatha) stay there but two successive generations have stayed at Glomstad as well (Myrna, Joyce, Linda and I in our generation, Myrna's daughter Anne in the next generation down, and I'm thinking one of Anne's children might there with too, bringing it down one generation still further.)
