I have written several times about my “step-great-grandmother,” Helene Olsdatter. You can find those posts using this link.  Some of their assertions are outdated, and I am working on a “page” to update and consolidate them. This weekend, stimulated by conversations with cousin Sheila Geier, I did some work on a new thread. Helene was mother to the youngest seven of Ole Larson’s 13 children. In addition, she was said to have a older daughter, named Kari Hanson. Larsons and Slettens 1985, in…

Reorganization is on hold for the moment. My “professional help” seems to have vanished, and I may have to seek help elsewhere. However, I am making an unrelated resolution for the new year, which is to post more entries on the blog. I profusely apologize to any visitors who may have encountered that, on the slight chance they might ever come back! Current status…

[wowslider id=”4″] My target date to launch a big reorganization of the website is Dec. 10. The idea is to integrate the family tree and the blog, so that they look alike and share functionality. If the launch does not go smoothly, we may be down for short periods. As I said, I know only enough to be dangerous. There may also be some broken links and other bugs to root out and repair. So I ask for your patience now, and…
