Born in Sunbury, Ohio, on this date in 1819: great-great-grandfather Henry Bennett Myers. Also featured on his death date, 14 June, and on both of his marriage dates, including 25 August. Top photo: the very space (most likely) where Henry was born. The building materials are from a later period, and the furnishings are not the original ones, but experts have proven that this space was occupied by the first dwelling Lawrence Myers built when he founded Sunbury in 1816. It was an 18 X 24 foot log cabin; later, Myers built a stagecoach inn next to it.
