Born in Vernon County, Wisconsin, on this date in 1896: granduncle Olaf Larson. His daughters, Clarice and Aline, are among the few first cousins of my parents who are still with us. Both daughters were born in the log cabin shown in top photo, which Olaf and Helga were renting. I took that photo in 2009, on a visit to the site together with both Aline and Clarice. Read more …
