Her birth date was not documented, but her baptism date was 8 February, 1801: the matriarch of the entire Larson family of Brush Creek, Wisconsin, Anne Larsdatter. You can actually read the names above, as written by the priest himself over 200 years ago.
She was born into poverty, daughter of a husmann (tenant farmer) named Lars Davidsen and his wife Ingeborg Johanesdatter on the large farm named Schurdahl (alt. Skurdal). After marriage, Anne and her husband lived in the same farm complex, probably on the same tenant farm.
