Welcome to the master database for Ole Larson's Folks. This is no longer the website home page, but is hanging around for the time being, to help you access the family tree database.Besides Larson and Myers, important surnames found here are Moen, Samuelson, Sletten,Raiten, Drayer, Colby, and Sprung. If you have not already done so, please register for a free account, with a username and password of your choice. If you are a relative or serious researcher, you will have access to vital information of living persons, and may download reports in PDF format to save or print, and even create GEDCOM files of selected individuals and family branches. If you want to work together with me, I can even make you a contributor or editor.
Take some time to experiment with site navigation, and explore the many exciting features offered here. There are over 7,000 names in the database, nearly a thousand images, with more added regularly. Pay special attention to the notes on individual profile pages. There you will find links to blog articles relating to the individual. If you like detective stories, check out the most wanted page for the big mysteries in our family's past. Maybe you can help solve one of them.
Sources
Like so many novices, in the first year or two of my work I paid little or no attention to documenting my sources. Likewise, the two relatives who got me jump-started with the first few thousand names in my database did not cite any sources either. I am now playing catch-up, and you will find quite a few source citations, with more being added almost daily. I have been especially lucky with sources for my Norwegian ancestors. Enjoy the new site, and please contact us with any comments or suggestions.
