• Notes

  per Savage: Thomas Stafford claimed to be "of the blood of the Stafford." Unclear which Stafford was meant, but Henry Stafford, 2nd Duke of Buckingham (1455-1483) is a good possibility. Buckingham's 2nd great-grandson, Roger Stafford, died poor and unmarried, but may have been Thomas' illegitimate father.
